Interviews measure talking.
Production comes from applying.
Those are different skills.
I have watched agencies hire the best talker in the room and regret it by spring.
Here is a better test.
I call it the Audition.
Hand the candidate a six line script.
Any simple greeting works.
Have them read it out loud.
Then give one coaching note.
“Nice. This time, slow down and smile on the second line.”
Have them run it again.
Now watch.
Did they apply the note?
Or did they explain why their way was fine?
The ones who apply it are coachable.
The ones who defend it will defend it every day for the next three years.
Here is what I would do this week.
1. Build your six line script.
Keep it simple.
Your greeting plus one question is plenty.
2. Coach one change only.
One note.
Not three.
You are testing the response, not the read.
3. Hire the appliers.
A rough read that improves beats a smooth read that stays the same.
Here is the shift.
Every day in your agency is a coaching note.
Hire the people who take one.
If you want to see the training your next great hire will run on day one, that is what we show inside Ignite Agency Training.
Better every day,
