Your Market Is Not The Problem

Mar 5, 2026

I hear this from agents all the time…

There are no good people.

Nobody wants to work.

No good talent in your town.

Let me push you a little.

Every excuse is a skill gap.

When you say: “There are no good people”

What you really mean is: “I do not yet have the skill to attract, hire, and train them.”

That shift changes everything.

If your office is stuck, it is not the market.

It is one of these:

• Hiring system is weak
• Training is random
• Expectations are unclear
• Accountability is soft
• Leadership skills are capped

You do not have a people problem.
You have a leadership skill ceiling.

When a team member underperforms, most agents say:
They just are not that good.

Wrong frame.

Ask:
Did I train this clearly
Did I role play it
Did I inspect it
Did I attach numbers to it

If producers are not writing life:
Is it laziness or did you never build a life conversation framework

If service is not saving policies:
Is it attitude
Or no retention script and tracking

Producer says: “Leads are weak.”

Skill gap.

They cannot control the lead.

But they can control:

• Questions they ask
• How they create urgency
• How they tie life to auto
• How they handle think about it

If close rate is low
It is not the prospect

It is a skill.

Here’s how to fix this:

  1. Ban victim language in your office.
    No more
    Leads suck
    Rates are too high
    People do not want life
Replace with: What skill do we need to improve
  2. Audit one area this week.
    Hiring
    Life production
    Retention
    Pick one.
    Find the missing system.
  3. Install clear metrics.
    Life conversations per day
    Policies saved per week
    Quote to bind ratio
    Numbers expose skill gaps fast.
  4. Role play daily.
    Ten minutes.
    Real objections.
    Tight feedback.
  5. Upgrade your hiring funnel.
    Clear ads.
    Clear scorecard.
    Working interview.
    Stop hiring off vibes.

Mindset Shift

The market is neutral.

Money flows to skill.

Talent flows to leadership.

If you level up
Your agency levels up.

If you want help building the hiring systems, sales frameworks, and accountability structure that raise the skill level of your whole office, that is exactly what we build inside Ignite Agency Training.

No more excuses.
Just skill.
