The simple question that opens more life conversations

Most life conversations don’t fail because the customer said no.

They fail because the question was weak.

Weak questions get weak answers.

Your team does not need 20 life scripts.

They need one strong question.

Here it is:

“Who depends on your income?”

Simple.

Clean.

Powerful.

That question makes the customer think.

Not about insurance.

About people.

That is where the conversation starts.

Here is the flow I would train.

First ask:

“Can I ask you a quick question?”

Then ask:

“Who depends on your income?”

Then be quiet.

Let them answer.

Then ask:

“How long would they be okay if that income stopped?”

Now they are thinking.

Now they are doing the math.

Now they are seeing the gap.

Then ask:

“Would it make sense to at least look at a simple plan to protect that?”

That is it.

No pressure.

No hard close.

No weird pitch.

Just a real question tied to a real problem.

This question should become part of your agency language.

Producers should use it.

Service should use it.

You should use it.

Because every customer has a story.

Your team has to learn how to find it.

Here is what I would do this week.

1. Make this the question of the week.

Put it on the board.

Talk about it in huddle.

Make it the focus.

“Who depends on your income?”

That is the rep.

2. Track how many times it is asked.

Do not only track life apps.

Track attempts.

How many times did the team ask the question?

How many real talks did they start?

How many gaps did they find?

Activity first.

Results follow.

3. Review real answers as a team.

    When a customer gives a strong answer, talk about it.

    What did they say?

    What did the team member ask next?

    Where did the talk go?

    That is how the team learns fast.

    Real reps.

    Real feedback.

    Real growth.

    Here is the mindset shift.

    Your team does not need more magic.

    They need better questions.

    Then they need the confidence to ask them.

    Life insurance gets easier when the customer sees the need before your team shows the product.

    That is the game.

    Ask better questions.

    Listen longer.

    Stack the reps.
